Electromagnetic Motor

Initially, practitioners attempting to convert electricity into mechanical movement have some very strange ideas. The machinist Grüel uses an electromagnet to tilt an iron anchor back and forth. This movement is transmitted to a wheel that controls the electromagnet in time with the movement.
