Louis de Broglie: Recherches sur la Théorie des Quanta, Dissertation, 1924
Illustration: Laurent Taudin
During investigations in his brother’s laboratory de Broglie is struck by the idea that matter can be conceived as a wave. He writes his dissertation on the subject in 1924 at the Sorbonne and receives the Nobel Prize for physics for his discovery of the wave nature of electrons in 1929.
