Einstein Lobbies for Konrad Wachsmann
Letter from Albert Einstein to Lotte Loeb (Emergency Rescue Committee), 16 December 1940
Einstein also lobbies for Konrad Wachsmann, the architect of his summer cottage in Caputh. After his emigration in 1941, Wachsmann works with Walter Gropius. He makes significant contributions to the development of prefabricated construction systems. He teaches at the Illinois Institute of Technology until 1964 and then at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
