The exhibit you can see on your left is the workplace of a modern-day string theorist. The computer screen gives you glimpses of current research: It shows the abstracts of the e-print series hep-th (theoretical particle - or high-energy - physics) and gr-qc (gravitation and quantum cosmology) that have been submitted until late yesterday and published today. As most publications in modern physics, they are written in English. On the desk lie print-outs of e-prints, waiting to be perused or in current used for the calculations being performed.
