Why does a shooting star fly?

Zelko (9 years old):

If it runs out of gas, how can it fly? It must be out of gas! ...

Ceyda (10 years old):

I think that's rubbish about the gas. How is it supposed to get gas? Is there gas in the universe? It's not a living thing with feet and hands .... Is there a gas station in the universe? I think that's rubbish about the gas.

Katja Bödeker:

But there is still a problem. How does it fly then?

Zelko:

Well, I don't know how it can fly.
