Armillary Sphere
Mechanical model of the geocentric worldview, seventeenth century

A sphere at the center represents the Earth; the external rings connected to the stand represent the horizontal system. Located between these are three pivoted celestial coordinates, in particular the coordinates of the firmament that rotates around the axis of the Earth every 24 hours.
