Arnold Berliner, publisher of Die Naturwissenschaften, forwards a letter from the English physicist Lawson who is forced to remain in Vienna during the war. In reference to the successful English eclipse expedition he emphasizes a German’s theory was confirmed with observations by the English. For Lawson, Einstein had achieved an inestimable service to mankind.
