Research Plan for Confirming the Theory of Relativity
Erwin Finlay Freundlich to Einstein, 17 June 1917, facsimile

In connection with the founding of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physics, Freundlich puts forward extensive proposals for the verification of the General Theory of Relativity. While his work as an assistant at the Neubabelsberg Observatory is disputed, he is one of the few astronomers whom Einstein can count on for support early on.
