Fast Ions in Heidelberg

One of the striking concequences of Special Relativity is time dilation.

This relates to the fact, that time passes slower in a reference frame which is moving fast compared to another observer.

Time dilation is a direct consequence of the constancy of the speed of light in the vacuum and of the equivalence of reference frames which move uniformly with respect to each other.
