Movement of Stars in the Milky Way Centre
This exceptional movie is obtained superposing images collected between 1992 and 2002 by Speckle-Camera Sharp I on New Technology Telescope, NTT, at La Silla Observatory, in Chile. Motions of stars reveal a very massive object in the center of the field: the invisible object is the super massive black hole candidate Sagittarius A*. Let's zoom in.
