Glancing collision of black holes
The second simulation shows two black holes in a glancing collision. The small surfaces in the centre of the animation denote the boundaries of the two single black holes and, later, of the resulting larger black hole. The coloration of the surrounding space encodes the strength of the gravitational waves emitted during the collision.
