The way towards the fusion reactor

Among a multitude of options, two types of construction prevailed for a future fusion reactor: TOKAMAK and Stellarator.

Common to both is the concept of confining the plasma in a magnetic cage. Distinctions are borne in the method to set up this cage.

The first experimental reactor is intended to be a TOKAMAK. But the Stellarator develops into a serious competitor.
