Euclidean Surface
Illustration of curved spaces by means of two-dimensional models

A flat surface can be conceived of as a two-dimensional model of three-dimensional Euclidean spaces. In Euclidean spaces the sum of the angles in a triangle equals 180 degrees. The circumference of a growing circle increases at exactly the same rate as its radius.
