Elliptic Surface
Illustration of curved spaces by means of two-dimensional models

An elliptically curved surface can be conceived of as a two-dimensional model of three-dimensional elliptic spaces. In elliptic spaces the sum of the angles in a triangle is greater than 180 degrees. The circumference of a growing circle increases more slowly than its radius.
