The Appearence of Background Radiation Depends on the Curvature of Space
The size of the observed areas of different intensity of the cosmic Background Radiation depends on the geometry of the universe. The electromagnetic radiation received by the space probe propagates along straight lines in flat space. In curved spaces the trajectories are curved. Therefore, in elliptical space (closed) the observed areas of different intensity are larger than in flat space (flat), in hyperbolic space (open) they are smaller.
