Einstein Gets Involved in the Bund Neues Vaterland

Einstein is listed as a guest.

The federation is the first political organization Einstein joins. Founded in November 1914, it pursues the goal of quick peace and a European order designed to prevent war.

The organization formulates petitions to politicians and supports pacifists under political pressure.

The Bund Neues Vaterland is prohibited in 1916, but resumes its work after the war and is renamed to Deutsche Liga für Menschenrechte (“German League for Human Rights”) in 1922.
