The Differential Microwave Radiometer

The channels of the main COBE instrument, the DMR were tuned to receive microwave radiation at 31.5, 53 and 90 Giga Hertz.

The DMR collected data, oribiting around the Earth at an altitude of 900 km, until 1994.
