Fluctuations in the Cosmisc Background Radiation

The cosmic microwave background was measured with a precision of 3 parts in 10,000.

The background was found to have intrinsic fluctuations at a level of one part in 100,000. That's not too much, but it shows by its statistical distribution extremely important information about the evolution of the universe at the very beginning and can be considered as primordial seeds of galaxies and clusters we can see in the present universe.
