Electromagnetic Lens (Cut)
Berlin, 1966

At the Technische Universität Berlin, Ernst Ruska constructs the first electromagnetic lenses with which electron waves can be bundled. In 1931 he succeeds in producing an image of a wire lattice magnified 16 times. This lens is from the high-resolution electron microscope DEEKO100, which Ruska developed at the Fritz-Haber-Institut.
