A “Kraut” in Paris!

The “war of minds” between French and German intellectuals is not over yet. Nationalist attitudes are expressed toward the “Kraut” Einstein. A number of French papers thus refer to Einstein carefully as a “Swiss scholar.” Nationalism is quite strong among scientists as well: the French Academy of Sciences resolves to boycott a lecture by Einstein held on its premises.
