Rabindranath Tagore visits Einstein in Caputh
The Indian writer and recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941) visits Einstein on 14 July 1930. Einstein believes that their conversation was unsuccessful due to difficulties in understanding each other’s language, and regrets its publication. Both struggle to find a topic, touching on the epistemic problems of modern physics, and ultimately discuss the different features of Indian and European music.
