Miniwatt bulb
Important carriers of information have to be clearly and quickly readable.

An early application of laser welding is the miniwatt bulb with its high lighting power at low current consumption.

Three solid state lasers set up three welding points simultaneously, in order to connect light unit and socket without mechanical deformation.

This bulb, which is replaced in the meantime by light emitting diodes (LED), could be produced this way in the high numbers needed.
