Bohr Interprets Quantum Mechanics
Niels Bohr to Einstein, Copenhagen, 13 April 1927, facsimile

Bohr writes to Einstein about Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.

He concludes that the formalism of quantum mechanics reflects the uncertainty revealed in observations.

In quantum mechanics it becomes possible to use pairs of terms such as wave and particle simultaneously without contradiction, even though these pairs seem contradictory in daily usage.
