A new fundamental aspect of quantum mechanics is that there are measurements that essentially influence each other. Two such measurements of one and the same object are represented here by two differently colored cups. Whenever one cup is lifted, there is a dice underneath. This is the measurement operation, and the value of the dice is the measured value. However, in quantum mechanics one can only lift up one of the cups, so both measurements can not be made simultaneously. Furthermore, when one cup is lifted up, the value of the other dice has changed when the other cup is lifted up. Such measurements are known as non-commutable.
