The Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Experiment (EPR)
Einstein is convinced that quantum mechanics, which only gives statistical statements, cannot be a complete description of physical reality. He tries to prove this with thought experiments. The best known is the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen experiment. It does not refute quantum mechanics. But it does demonstrate how much quantum mechanics contradicts our everyday intuitions.
